Olympians who lived it. Educators who teach it.

At Olympian Academy, we translate the experiences and lessons of Olympians and elite athletes into meaningful learning experiences for people navigating pressure, uncertainty and change.

Our programmes bring together authentic sporting stories, professional educational expertise and practical tools to help individuals, teams and communities develop the confidence, resilience and mindset to perform when it matters.

Our story

Great sporting stories can inspire.

Meaningful learning goes further.

Every Olympian has experienced moments when preparation, determination and talent were not enough to guarantee the outcome.

Behind the achievements are stories of pressure, setbacks, sacrifice, self-doubt, teamwork and resilience.

Olympian Academy was established by three-time Malaysian Olympian Josiah Ng, bringing together athletes and experienced educators who believe that the most valuable lessons from elite sport should not remain within the sporting world.

We believe these experiences can help young people, families and professionals better understand how they respond to challenges and what they can do when circumstances are beyond their control.

Our ambition is to make these lessons accessible, relevant and practical — through learning experiences designed for real life, not just the sporting arena.

What makes Olympian Academy different?

The intersection of Olympic experience and educational expertise.

Authentic Olympian Experience

Our Olympians bring the credibility of having competed at the highest levels of international sport. They share not only their achievements but the difficult decisions, setbacks and moments of uncertainty that shaped their journeys.

Purposeful Learning Design

Our programmes are developed with education professionals who understand how people learn. Each experience combines clear objectives, participation, guided reflection and meaningful application.

Experiential Learning

We believe people learn through doing, not simply listening. Our workshops involve interactive activities and facilitated conversations that encourage participants to recognise their own responses and consider different approaches.

Practical Application

Participants are encouraged to translate insights into their own circumstances, leaving with strategies, reflections and actions that extend beyond the experience itself.

Our approach

From lived experience to everyday action.

Our learning experiences follow five connected stages.

01

Hear

An Olympian shares an authentic moment of pressure, uncertainty, achievement or setback.

02

Reflect

Participants connect those experiences to the challenges they face in their own lives.

03

Experience

Interactive activities and facilitated discussions help participants explore how they respond in demanding situations.

04

Apply

Participants use practical frameworks and reflection tools to consider more constructive responses.

05

Commit

Each participant identifies a meaningful action they can take beyond the workshop.

The approach is adapted to different ages, environments and learning objectives, from school classrooms and family workshops to leadership teams and sports academies.
